Six years down and only a double digit number of days left before South Africa welcomes the world to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. We here at Great Atlantic Travel can’t wait until the first kick-off and our more than pleased with the amount of terric clients we have set up to go as we have surpassed that number from Germany 2006. If you haven’t gotten your ticket, airfare, hotel, or packages dont wait any longer as availability is getting down to the bare minimum. Even though the World Cup will be awesome to watch on ESPN HD, that will be nothing compared to the spectacle of being there live at the world’s best and most popular sporting event. After an amazing Olympics where the US hockey team had all of the country’s support and attention, its only fitting that the US Soccer team does the same on a much larger scale. It is setting up to be such an amazing time with numerous storylines taking shape such as the US being put in same group as England. The Americans have released their World Cup jerseys and they are going old school with the same threads they wore in the 1950 World Cup - the same World Cup they beat England 1-0, an event the Brits have still not gotten over. Then you have the host country South Africa in same group as France and Mexico as they are trying not to become the first host nation to fail advance to the second round. If you need anymore reasons or pushing I would look over this article from Goal.com. We look forward to setting up a lifetime experience for you!

I can’t wait for the 2008 football season to start. I especially cant wait for the Redskins vs. Steelers at FedEx feild. The NFL Schedule will be released in mid April so that is the best time to book your trips. I am already planning on taking a trip to see skins/steelers because my father in law is a die hard steelers fan and my dad and I are Skins fans. At Great Atlantic Travel we offer redskins package trips to all skins home games. You can choose from overnight trips with bus or without bus, day trips or just tickets only. The best time to call is mid April for your favorite tickets and packages because they will be going up in price as the season progresses. Last year I went to the pre-season Skins/Steelers game, in fact the picture is of that game, however Im excited that they are playing in a regular season game this year. Although The Redskins hall of fame game vs. Colts is going to be very exciting too, and there is only 20,000 seats in that stadium. Be sure to check out the other teams like the Skins, Steelers, Eagles, Panthers, Ravens, and Cowboys by going to NFL Schedule. Or if you want any other team in the NFL we have every NFL Ticket for every game when the schedule is released in April.

Picking the Winner of the Kentucky Derby this year is about as impossible as finding a needle in a hay-stack, or as impossible as any previous year I suppose.

There were a total of 449 (3) Year-olds that were nominated for the Derby, Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes this year.  Todd Pletcher is leading all trainers with 31 nominees, while Nick Zito, trainer of War Pass, a favorite to win the Derby in 2008, has 19 nominees.

Here are the Top 10 Contenders for the Kentucky Derby this year.  Make sure you stop by Great Atlantic Travel and Tour to view our Kentucky Derby Packages and Kentucky Derby Tickets so you’re not watching from the sidelines, i.e. your big ‘ol Flatscreen HDTV at home, this year.
