This weekend’s NFL Draft is going to be the kickoff to a very exiting 2008 NFL season. With the Dolphin’s announcement that they will take Michigan left tackle Jake Long as the No. 1 overall draft pick, there still remains a great deal of uncertainty regarding where the rest of this year’s NFL freshman class will head. With such players as LSU’s JaMarcus Russell, Georgia Tech’s Calvin Johnson,   and Virginia’s Chris Long still up for grabs this year’s NFL Draft could prove to be very exciting especially with such teams as the Falcons, Ravens, and Eagles looking to have very competitive 2008 seasons.

With that being said, Great Atlantic Travel is here to help you get the very best tickets and packages for this year’s NFL season. With endless ticket and package combinations we can help you see your favorite team compete up-close for the best possible price.

Check out our 2008 Redskin packages as they have one of the best 2008 schedules of any NFL team which will no doubt lead to some of this year’s best action.

The NFL has released the 2008 NFL schedule, and all Redskins games are available at this time. Ticket only prices will be available by the end of the week. Tickets and packages are on sale for Washington Redskins home games against the New Orleans Saints on September 14, Arizona Cardinals on September 21, St. Louis Rams on October 12, Cleveland Browns on October 19, Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers on November 3, archrival Dallas Cowboys on November 16, Super Bowl Champion New York Giants on November 30, and division rival Philadelphia Eagles on December 21.

The Redskins have an excellent schedule for fans as it offers a great choice of games throughout the year. If you are not into the cold weather then you can see early games such as the home opener against the New Orleans Saints or a rematch of one of last years close games against the Cardinals. October is great since the weather is not too hot or too cold. See the Redskins take on the St. Louis Rams or Cleveland Browns as the fall season arrives. November will bring 3 of the NFL’s toughest and most popular teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers who are making their first regular season appearence in DC since 1988, reigning NFC East champion and hated rivals the Dallas Cowboys a nationaly televised game on Sunday night, as well as the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. November will certainly be a defining moment for the Washington Redskins 2008 season. The Redskins will play at FedEx Field once in December and that will be on December 21st against the Philadelphia Eagles which would make an excellent early Christmas gift.

These games as well as Redskins Hall of Fame Game and preseason games are now available. Also, tickets and packages will soon be available for the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles,  Pittsburgh Steelers, and all other NFL teams. Please check back or call for information. All rates are subject to change and based on availability so early reservations are strongly suggested.

We are officialy 5 months away from the 2008 NFL season. The NFL whould release the regular season schedule within the next two weeks. Advanced prices are available for all Washington Redskins home games against the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, St Louis Rams, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, and the World Champion New York Giants. A recent magazine had a Turkey Sports Poll which quizzed over 800 sports executives on what is the most prestigious sporting event. Winning the poll with just under 42% was non other than the Masters at Augusta. The Super Bowl came next with 35% followed by the World Series, Final Four, and the Kentucky Derby. Pretty interesting. We have great packages available for these and all other domestic and international events. However I must object because in my personal experience, these great sporting events fall closely behind the international flare of the world’s most popular tournament the FIFA World Cup as well as the Summer and Winter Olympics. Either Way Great Atlantic Travel is your ticket to see these prestigious sporting events live and in person!

This past weekends exciting race at Martinsville has made the upcoming Crown Royal 400 race at Richmond a more demanding ticket. Great seats and packages still remain for the spring race at America’s Premiere Short track which is the only race track on the Sprint Cup that is a 3 quarter mile. Be one of the over 112,000 lucky spectators that will enjoy side to side, exciting action and choose your seat such as in the Dogwood, Colonial, Commonwealth, and front stretch sections and include them in the package of your choice such as a Day Trip that include motorcoach transportation from Norfolk and Newport News and tailgate party, or Overnight Package that includes hotel and track transfers, or just a ticket only package.

Richmond native Denny Hamlin won at Martinsville this past weekend and will try to do the same at his home track. Hamlin will try to hold off the winner of the last three Richmond races Jimmy Johnson, as well as track favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr who’s last victory came in this race in May of 2006.

Keep in mind: if the May Richmond race doesn’t work well into your schedule, then the same great tickets and packages are still available for the last race before the chase, the Chevy Rock N Roll 400 on September 6, 2008.
